Sustainability at Alpenresort Schwarz

In recent years, the topic of sustainability has come more and more into focus. We have asked ourselves the question: Sustainability in a vacation resort - is that even possible? We say quite clearly - YES, of course! 

It is a path we have decided to take. We are committed to a comprehensive sustainability concept and are taking targeted action on the SDGs - the Sustainable Development Goals. 

Health & Wellbeing

Around 40 qualified health experts and holistic physicians take care of the health and personal development of guests throughout the year in the treatments offered, as part of the hotel's own health program ME, in the fitness area and in nature. In addition, several times a year there are the ME HOLISTIC DAYS with expert lectures and coachings on various health topics. In the context of the movement program can be selected daily from up to seven courses. As a focal point, yoga is offered up to nine times a week or as part of multi-day retreats. 

Environment & Nature

Sustainability is a path that the host family and the team have consciously chosen. They are committed to a comprehensive sustainability concept and implement targeted measures for the SDGs - the Sustainable Development Goals - and here specifically the area of environmental protection and nature conservation. Within the framework of externally supported impulse workshops, but also internal implementations in working groups, the individual SDGs are illuminated with regard to the central processes in the company of purchasing (procurement & disposal), energy and mobility and measures are developed for this.

Work & Life

The Alpenresort Schwarz Company is characterized by 5 values, which are lived with regard to all interest groups and stakeholders. These values are expressed in daily activities and also guide the entrepreneurial family and the team in terms of how they develop the company and its infrastructure and how they design products and services. The vision "We create the space for warm encounters, well-being and further development" as well as the values of the house have developed out of the company and were formulated together with the hosts (as the employees at Alpenresort Schwarz are called).

Social

The task of the team "Green Black Flower" is to perceive and represent the social and ecological responsibility of the Alpenresort Schwarz on a local and regional level. The team members have been implementing sustainable projects on an ongoing basis since the end of 2009.  In 2012, the "Schwarz hilft...-Fonds" was launched. In the course of various activities, such as raffle sales at hotel events, charity flea markets, etc., money is collected throughout the year, all of which flows into the fund. This money is used to support people from the region who find themselves in emergency situations.
