We've brought you 5 tips to help you feel fit and energised again and start the sunny new season on a positive note

What is spring fatigue anyway?
Spring fatigue is felt by many people in spring and is a reaction of our body to the change from the dark and cold winter to the sunny spring. Our body first has to adapt to the new warmer temperatures, with the time shift to summer time also playing a role. Our blood pressure can drop as we adjust, which is the reason for tiredness and fatigue. The effects of spring fatigue are different for everyone.

What can you do to combat spring fatigue?
Here are five valuable tips on how you can prevent tiredness and exhaustion.
-
Tip 1: Healthy sleep
It is particularly important that we get enough sleep to recover from our stressful everyday lives and start the day with renewed energy. It is advisable to switch off your smartphone shortly before going to bed and perhaps read a good book to help you relax and get enough sleep.
-
Tip 2: Sufficient exercise
Exercise and regular sport are the very best solution to fatigue and listlessness. If we move more, we are fitter and at the same time we are doing something good for our body during the transition period. Even a short walk in the sun can work wonders, making us feel much better and more balanced.
-
Tip 3: Alternating showers
To get our circulation going, it is advisable to take alternating hot and cold showers in the morning so that we can start the day fit and energised and really enjoy spring.
-
Tip 4: Light and fresh air
If we feel tired and stressed, it is advisable to do as many activities as possible in the fresh air. As soon as the sun shines on our faces, our mood changes abruptly and we immediately feel more energised. A coffee in the sun with good friends is often the best cure for spring tiredness.
-
Tip 5: Drink plenty of water
To keep our body well nourished, we need to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Sufficient fluids have a positive influence on our circulation. Water helps the body to detoxify, which supports us in the transition period from winter to spring. We recommend drinking 1.5 - 2 litres per day.
If you follow these five tips, you can be sure that nothing will stand in the way of a fantastic spring.
