The 6 best tips to keep you warm on cold days:

With a few tips and tricks to combat the cold, you can also improve your well-being.

  • Tip 1: A cosy sauna session

When it's cold and uncomfortable outside, a sauna session is the perfect way to warm up your body from the inside. In the sauna, you can not only sweat out waste products, but also do something good for your immune system at the same time. After all, a strengthened immune system is particularly important for staying fit and active in cool autumn temperatures.

  • Tip 2: Keep moving

Even in autumn, exercise is an effective way to get the cardiovascular system going, boost circulation and strengthen the immune system. The fresh air also re-energises and relaxes the mind. The right clothing should always be worn.

  • Tip 3: Massages

Massages with warming oils promote blood circulation in the skin and therefore have a warming effect that has a lasting effect. Arnica or rosemary oil are particularly suitable for this. If you want to do something good for yourself every day, you can massage yourself with a brush after showering, which also has a circulation-promoting effect. Work from the outside of the legs to the inside using circular movements and then follow the same principle with the arms.

  • Tip 4: Hot water bottle & co.

Hot water bottles or cherry stone cushions are a quick way to banish the cold. Warming products such as heating pads are also a good idea on cold days. Electric foot warmers are a good idea for cold feet. If you are freezing in bed at night, an electric blanket or heated underblanket is the best choice.

  • Tip 5: Ginger

The right spices bring warmth from within. Ginger is particularly good for this. The essential oils and pungent substances it contains really heat up the body from the inside. Cayenne pepper and chilli are also recommended.

For a warming and healthy ginger tea, pour hot water or boiled milk over a piece of ginger root and flavour the drink with cinnamon, turmeric or cardamom.

  • Tip 6: Full bath

A full bath helps the body to warm up again and at the same time provides soothing relaxation. Bath additives such as lavender further enhance this effect. Warm clothing should be worn immediately after bathing.
